Just renewed my membership after 1.5 years away, didn't know about new forum deal, sure appears to suck,and the coupon book really went to the trash,oh well at least I can go to Barona, what a joke,I won't be back again!

As soon as I signed in, I could see all the forums. They're kinda empty at the moment.

Do not like this layout compared to the old one though.

Been here since the beginning. Never have there been a fraction of the issues for the life of previous setups there have been on the 1st day of this one.

Look at the demographics of your customers. These are people who, as a whole, like simple easy to use computer programs.

I think this is may be the best program on the market but not for your customer base.

My interests have for the most part been the Shows and Entertainment.

With out a topic title, topics and threads all run together which is VERY HARD

to work with. It wastes too much time for me...and folks looking for info/answers

I would think, are in the same boat.This format is counter productive and I don't think

I can put up with it for very long, sorry.

I don't think going back is an option, if I read not too deeply between the lines. So folks have two choices: Learn the new system or go away. That's not a value judgment or an endorsement either way, just what seems to be a simple fact. Folks bitched to HIGH heaven during the last changeover, remember. And Fred wasn't the only one correctly lamenting the glacial pace of the old boards. Some of the biggest critics of this new system weren't exactly in love with the old system.

I've been gone for a week and was able to get in here on the first crack. It's easy to navigate. Yes, there's some new stuff to be learned, and it looks like some old features might not be present--I'm gonna nose around and adjust things before teeing off on something that might be right under my nose--yet there are some new things that are a plus. If after some trial/error I don't like it, I have the ultimate consumer's choice.

That I fervently wish dollar was a buck a gallon ...

I'm confident Dale has enough sense of job security that he, too, would look at this site and say: "Well, there's some stuff on the old site not present here." It's a bit like looking at a forest and saying, "Hmm, trees." Deep thoughts, I know.

I'm not so sure about this new site being faster. It has taken me forever to get into this forum. I'm on my work computer and we usually zip thru websites, but this one has been s l o w !

The more I horse around here the better I like it. Sure it's missing some bells & whistles of the "archived forum" & maybe eventually Ody will be able to make some improvements, but I certainly wouldn't let missing Post Counts determine whether or not I use it.

A question for the moderators: what is the REAL reason why the forums were "farmed out" to another operation? Was it because the traffic tied up the LVA servers? And if so, why not just add another server? Or is there something else we are missing? While this new system "works" everyone recognizes that the old way was better. So why was the old way "fixed" ?

Way to go, nuggetboy. With your cheap shot at Sarah Palin, you've managed to turn this into a political thread.

I'm guessing that what you meant to say was, "Maybe they could see the other operation from their front porches. That would make them experts."

It's a verb/noun agreement thing, to which intelligent folks pay attention.

Oh, and despite what Ted Haggard said, perhaps you should consider therapy to resolve some of your issues.
